The orphanage “Our Family”
A house where you get kindness with big spoons!

A Large Family
This is a unique institution with no analogues in Russia. Jewish children, deprived of parental warmth and care, get here something that cannot be provided by any child care institution of this kind.
Warmth and Traditions
Children get an excellent education. Here they are provided with kosher food, attend various Jewish events, go to synagogue, observe Shabbat and celebrate all national holidays.
Professional Teachers
The staff consists of professional teachers, psychologists and educators. Children do sports, swim regularly in the swimming-pool. In addition, the pupils of our Boarding House go on tours, visit museums, cinemas, theatres and concert halls.
Problems of the Boarding House
The History of Our House
The orphanage “Our Family” was earlier called "Anita Center Big Family" and officially opened on 18 June 1999 in the framework of Moscow Jewish community. The orphanage was founded by a married couple – Svetlana and Raphael, Khakhiashvili, under the patronage of the Chief Rabbin of Moscow Pinkhas Goldschmidt. Jewish house for orphans took a very difficult but honorable mission. It consists in helping Jewish children, left homeless and without parental care, to start a new life. For more than 18 years already the Jewish orphanage has not only been providing children with shelter and the minimum required for basic survival (food, clothing, education), but also creating all the necessary conditions for development - cultural, psychological, intellectual and physical.
The Mission of Our House
Our main goal is to give disadvantaged Jewish children a full life based on the Jewish tradition, and to provide them with a wonderful education. You can find more details about the life of our Boarding House in the section "What are we doing for Jewish orphans?". Within eighteen years more than one hundred Jewish children received rehabilitation in our Boarding House.
How to help

In any case, you will receive detailed information about how your money has been spent and will always be able to see firsthand the results of your help. Your good deed will not be unnoticed.
